Pratha foundation is a voluntary organization (VO), Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), nonprofit charity created by like minded people who are up to making a difference in the society by working for the holistic development of poorer communities focusing on care for elderly, destitute women and underprivileged children. Pratha foundation has been working in the rural & urban slums for the last 2 years and has made inroads into rural & urban development in the state of . Pratha foundation is one of grass root level & up coming NGO among several best Indian NGOs. This NGO was formed to educate each and every child, who is under below poverty line ,which includes nutrition as well as health. Inside of this context we are planning to take different projects in various District to start with. Education is every child’s birth right. We are working on projects like sponsoring children studies who cannot afford to go to school, inspiring children to attend school, providing them with different facilities that with give support to them in completing there academic studies and make them self reliant.
Pratha Foundation is registered in the year 2012-2013 under Trust Registration Act,  Regd.No. 2197. 

With increased opportunities for employment for women and the need to supplement household income more and more women are entering the job market. With the breaking up of joint family system and the increased phenomenon of nuclear families, working women need support for care of their young children while they are at work. There is an urgent need for improved quality and reach of child day care services for working women among all socio-economic groups in both in the organized and unorganized sectors. Many women in our working areas are working in domestic work, Construction work, market yards, hotels & restaurants, nursing homes & hospitals, schools & business establishments, agriculture fields etc.  They work in extremely hazardous conditions; unequal wages are paid; childcare and educational amenities are completely absent as are maternity benefits for women. They have no time, energy and money to take care of their young ones. That is why Pratha Foundation initiated this crèche centre program and now running 5 crèche centres. In each centre about 30 children of the both gender in the age group of 1-6 years are being provided care & protection. These centres equipped with First Aid Kit, cooking facilities, cooking vessels, utensils to feed the children, safe & protected drinking water, etc. We have been providing nutritious midday meal to all the children of crèche centres regularly. We also provide basic education, recreation through play, songs, story telling, etc. Regular health checkups will also be provided. Each centre has one care taker and one aya.
